Aaliyah McCormick of Oregon ran 13.03w for a victory in the women's 100-meter hurdles, the second-fastest time so far in the NCAA outdoors. McCormick has run faster (12.85), but it was a good start. Cal's Jada Hicks was second in 13.06w, the fourth-fastest time in the country. Queen Harrison Claye (Go Queen Go) was third in 13.15w. Jerome Campbell broke a school record for Northern Colorado while winning the men's 110-meter hurdles with 13.58, good for No. 4 in the NCAA this spring. Justin Robinson won the 200 meters in 21.13 and was part of the winning effort of 39.50 in the 4x100 relay. The Sun Devils also won the men's 4x400 in 3:12.35. Shot-putter Brandon Lloyd also won with 58-10 (17.93m). ASU's Adriana Tatum won the 200 in 23.67 after coming back from a second-place 100 in 11.53. Oregon's Jadyn Mays won the women's 100 in 11.26 seconds. San Diego State's Jessica Kain edged Northern Colorado's Regina Mpigachai to win the women's 800 meters, 2:07.52 to 2:07.55. Mpigachai won Friday's 1,500 meters in 4:22.32, another school record. Post-collegian Caisja Chandler won the women's 400 in 53.13 and Alayna Verner from Azusa Pacific was second in 54.08. Harley Daniel from Utah won the women's 400-meter hurdles in 58.21 seconds, fourth-fastest in Utes program history. She was also part of the winning 4x400 relay (3:41.34). Daniella Hubble from the University of San Diego ran 10:38.43 to win Friday's 3,000-meter steeplechase. Colorado's Allie Routledge and BYU's Cierra Allphin tied in the women's high jump as both cleared 5-9.25. The Buffaloes' Jada Green threw 161-1 to win the javelin. San Diego State's Hannah Waller jumped 20-3.75w for victory in the women's long jump. Isaiah Shaw from California won the 400 meters in 46.56 The Northern Colorado men scored yet another school record in the men's 800 meters where Jesse Hayward broke the tape in 1:49.73. Cedar English of Southern Utah won the men's long jump with 24-3.50. Matt Ward of Colorado threw 209-9 (63.94m) to win the men's hammer. In the multi events, Kiana Davis from ShebeGold won the women's heptathlon with 5,127 points and BYU's Zoey Bonds was the top collegian with 4,941 points. World record holder Kevin Mayer of France entered the decathlon on Thursday but retired after scoring 2,604 points in the first three events. Benjamin Hougardy from Belgium won the decathlon with 7,250 points and North Dakota State's Paul Olson was second with 6,847. |
